Wetherill Park Compressed Air Solution Installation

Focus Industrial recently completed a custom compressed air installation for SEM Windows at their Wetherill Park facility, delivering a high-performance solution tailored to the unique needs of their production line. SEM Windows required an efficient and durable compressed air system to support their manufacturing operations, particularly for powering critical equipment like saws.

To achieve this, Focus Industrial supplied and installed the FC100-30D Screw Compressor—a robust 7.5Kw (10HP) compressor with a 10 Bar pressure capacity, mounted on a 300-litre tank with an integrated dryer. This setup ensures a continuous supply of clean, dry air, essential for protecting SEM Windows’ pneumatic tools and reducing long-term maintenance. The system is also fitted with pre- and post-filters, featuring 1-micron and 0.01-micron elements, to effectively remove dust and other particulates that could affect equipment performance.

Our installation team implemented a custom layout using 25mm aluminium piping, strategically designed to meet the airflow demands of SEM Windows’ factory floor. The main compressor was installed at the rear of the factory, with piping extending along the walls to supply air directly to two saws. Additional piping routes to ceiling height, supporting four dropper outlets suspended securely with Jack chains. Each dropper terminates with a quick-connect nitto fitting, allowing SEM Windows’ team the flexibility to connect and disconnect tools easily as production demands shift.

The installation included elevated work platform (EWP) hire for safe overhead work, along with comprehensive pressure testing and commissioning to ensure reliability from day one. This complete setup was delivered and installed within a 4–7 day timeframe, allowing SEM Windows to quickly enhance their production capacity with minimal downtime.

This tailored compressed air solution positions SEM Windows for sustained operational efficiency, ensuring a reliable air supply across their manufacturing line.
